If enabled, playlists will be downloaded by the Bitmovin Player SDK instead of AVFoundation.

Discussion

This enables additional HLS-specific features and events, including:

DownloadFinishedEvents for HLS playlist downloads
preprocessHttpRequest handling for HLS master and variant playlist requests

If set to false, HLS playlists are loaded by AVFoundation instead. As a result, the HLS-specific features above are unavailable and enabling isNativeHlsParsingEnabled has no effect.

Note
Due to platform limitations, HLS Low Latency streams are not supported below iOS and tvOS 17 while this property is enabled. Disable custom HLS loading when intending to play HLS-LL streams below iOS and tvOS 17.

Default is true.
